The SFB1032 is offering together with the Nanosystems Initiative Munich (NIM) a workshop on 3D design:

Autodesk 3D Studio Max
Date: Friday, 11 November 2016
Time: 9.00 am – 4.00 pm
Venue: CIP Pool 2 (H 022), LMU Faculty for Physics, Schellingstr. 4, 80799 Munich
Software and computers will be provided by the LMU Faculty of Physics.

Course Description
When it comes to illustrations for your paper, TOC graphics or cover images, 3D rendering is quite handy. This 3D workshop will teach you the basics of modelling, lighting, shading and rendering within the software 3D Studio Max (free license for educational/scientific purposes). Besides a tutorial that will get you to know the software, there will be also time to work on your own projects and ideas.

About the Trainer
Criss Hohmann studied media technology at the TH Deggendorf. Since 2011 he works as media designer for scientific content for NIM.
